Managing Precision Essentials Data FAQ

As we begin supporting Precision Essentials data, our focus is on new customers who document their acres but may not have previously considering leveraging technology in their operations. Over time, your dealership will continue to receive actionable data that enhances your customer experience with our cutting-edge precision agriculture technology.

The Customer Success team is expanding its support to encompass Precision Essentials Kits. Our goal is to empower you with valuable data and prioritize actionable insights, enabling you to make the most of these technologies from the start. See the below frequently asked questions and answers to help you support your customers in recognizing the value these innovations bring to their farming practices.

Q: What should I do with the data that is provided by my CSM?

A: Please see steps below:

  • Ensure License Activation Post-Retail Settlement: Activate Precision Essential licenses immediately after retail settlement to facilitate prompt use.
  • Ensure Display is Fully Connected Post License Enablement: Install Precision Ag Essential display in vehicle, ensuring connection to MTG.
  • Establish Basic Field Boundaries: Setting field boundaries is crucial for effective Precision Ag utilization of our core product features.
  • Digital Engagement with Operations Center Mobile and Web: Encourage customers to engage with the Operations Center mobile/web platforms, as this is vital for maximizing first use and enhancing the overall customer experience. It serves as their gateway into the Deere ecosystem.

Q: What happens if I do nothing with the data?

A: Likeliness of customer value realization and ultimately renewal is low if actions above are not taken.

Q: How often will I be sent this data?

A: At this time, updates are static. Your CSM will provide you a new file if there are significant changes in volume.

Q: Who should perform these actions within my dealership?

A: Depending on your dealership personnel, we've seen positive results come from a precision ag rep performing initial action (understanding the data, determining customer to start with) and partnering with sales staff or contact center to perform the activities listed above.

Q: How do I break down the data in the excel sheet shared with me?

Follow this link or click the video below for a step by step walk through of managing the data.
